WHAT IS TCAA?

The Texas Commercial Airports Association (TCAA) supports the advocacy and education needs of Texas' commercial airports. Membership is open to commercial passenger airports operating in Texas. The Association was organized in December of 2011 with the goal of creating a Texas trade association to assist the commercial airports around the state in collaboration and coordination of airport issues, advocacy and education efforts, and support new economic development all to benefit travelers to and within the state.

Why are Airports important to Texas?

TCAA member airports serve more than 80 million passengers annually and support more than 730,866 full-time jobs, producing $84.9 billion in annual economic output.*Texas Aviation Economic Impact Study, TxDOT 2018

Organization Leadership and Governance

TCAA's Executive Director is Erika Boyd.

TCAA is governed by an elected board with the following directors designated as the TCAA leadership:

  • Board Chair: Tyler Miller, Deputy Director of Aviation, Corpus Christi International Airport
  • Vice Chair: Tim Joniec, Director of Government and Stakeholder Relations, Houston Airport System
  • Secretary/Treasurer: Sam Rodriguez, Director of Aviation, El Paso International Airport
  • Immediate Past Chair: Jesus Saenz, Chief Operations Officer, San Antonio International Airport
